Is ZType free?
Yes, 100% free to play with no registration, no download, and no hidden costs. All 13 levels, Kids Mode, and all 15 languages are available to everyone for free.
Does ZType work on Chromebook?
Yes. ZType works in any modern browser including Chrome on Chromebook, Windows, Mac, Linux, iPad, and Android.
Can I use ZType in my classroom?
Yes. ZType is safe for classroom use — no accounts, no data collection, no inappropriate content. See our schools page for grade-level recommendations and classroom activity ideas.
Is ZType safe for children?
Yes. ZType does not collect personal data, has no chat, and is single-player only. Kids Mode provides age-appropriate vocabulary. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Why did my high score disappear?
Scores are stored in your browser's localStorage. Clearing browser data, using Incognito mode, or using a different browser will not show your previous scores. Play in a regular browser window with standard settings to keep scores.
My language isn't available. Can you add it?
We support 15 languages currently. Send us a request using the form below — include the language name and we'll consider it for a future update. Native speakers who can provide a word list are especially helpful.
I found a bug. How do I report it?
Please describe the bug in detail, and include your browser name and version, device type (desktop/mobile/tablet), and operating system. A screenshot or screen recording is very helpful.
How do I switch the game language?
On the ZType title screen, find the flag/language icon and click it to open the language selector. Choose from 15 available languages and the game will restart in your chosen language.
